Guaranteed with the FSC seal

The FSC labelling (Forest Stewardship Council) on wood indicates that the wood comes from responsibly managed forests. This labelling ensures that the wood has been harvested in accordance with ecological, social and economic standards. Here are some important points relating to FSC certification:

1. Sustainable Forest Management:
Forests are managed in such a way that their biodiversity, productivity and ecological processes remain intact.

2. Social Responsibility: The rights of workers, indigenous peoples and local communities are respected and protected. This includes fair labour conditions and the protection of traditional rights of use.

3. Environmental Protection:
The preservation of endangered species, protected areas and ecologically valuable forests is guaranteed. The use of chemicals and pesticides is limited.

4. Economic Viability: Forest management must be economically viable to ensure long-term investment and the economic stability of communities.

5. Transparency and Monitoring:
Certification is carried out by independent third parties who regularly check that the standards are being met.
