A Comparison of All Folding Tent Sizes
When choosing the size of a tent, you should first consider its intended use, because it’s important to know whether guests will be sitting or standing and how spacious the area under the tent should ultimately be.
For your convenience, this page includes a size chart for folding tents and folding pavilions. There, you’ll find information on how many people can stand or sit comfortably in our various tent sizes.
In general, the following guideline for crowd density at events can be derived from the events industry:
- For standing people, the assumption is two people per square meter, which works out to 0.5 to 0.75 m² per person.
- For seated people a standard beer-bench set seating eight people is assumed. Around 4 m² of space is allowed for each beer-bench set.

CONCLUSION
Small tents measuring 2 x 2 to 2 x 4 meters are particularly well-suited for information booths, waiting areas, or similar presentation and promotional purposes.
Tents with a side length of three metres or more are also suitable for events with seated guests. The large rectangular tents deserve a special mention: they offer plenty of room for bigger events as well as for sales and presentation areas without restricting freedom of movement.
