What is a valance?
The so-called “valance” of a sunshade is a decorative element. The fabric strip hanging over the edges of the parasol not only serves as a visual embellishment, but also offers additional protection from dazzling sunlight, especially when the sun is low.
With most of our parasols, you are free to decide whether you want your parasol with or without a valance and, if necessary, have it customised and printed according to your wishes.

A valance offers a number of advantages, particularly in practical and aesthetic terms. The additional fabric strip effectively protects against sunlight coming in from the side and creates a more pleasant, shaded area, especially when the sun is low. The valance also gives the parasol a classic, elegant look, making it a decorative element in your outdoor area. The valance can also be individually printed or designed in a special shape, which opens up additional personalisation options.
