1- Which audience does the model target?
You'll find flexibility when choosing the perfect materials, colours, and sizes to suit your needs. 2- Should the umbrella be eye-catching or understated?
Depending on your answer to this, you can specify the size, colours and number of print designs and select the right product for your project. You can also choose between a simple logo print and a full-surface photo print.
3- Does the design match my corporate design?
Last but not least, you should consider whether you have a corporate design that the product should match. If you don't have a corporate design or are looking for inspiration, simply take a look at our references.

3- The design options
There are many design options for parasols. You can find an overview here. Depending on the design, the finishing can be applied in different places. In some cases, minimum quantities and delivery times must be taken into account for more complex printing techniques.
Canopy
The traditional approach is to print on the umbrella canopy, typically comprised of 8 segments. With this method, you have the flexibility to print your logo or photo design on any combination of segments. Additionally, printing on the inside of the canopy is also an option.
Cover
A cover is usually available for pocket umbrellas. Just like with the closing strap, the advantage of the cover is that the print is visible when the umbrella is closed.
Closing strap
The closing strap is suitable for discreet advertising. The closing strap is often printed on as well as the segment. The advantage of the closing strap is that the print is visible even when the umbrella is closed.
Handle
Handles offer versatile branding opportunities. Direct printing allows for logos, symbols, or lettering, though limited to one colour. For a more vibrant option, consider doming. Doming involves a small plate with a 3D effect, printed in various colors and affixed to the handle. This digital print is coated with transparent resin, creating a striking 3D effect. Additionally, engraving offers a subtle yet sophisticated finishing touch for many handles.
4- The implementation
Print data
To bring your vision to life, appropriate print data is essential. You can provide this yourself, or if needed, we can generate suitable print data on your behalf from any format you provide. Should there be any associated costs, rest assured, we'll inform you beforehand. Typically, preparing print data is a swift and cost-effective process. We adhere to Pantone colour standards for precise color matching. You can specify your desired colours using Pantone codes, or if you prefer, we can assist in selecting the appropriate colour values for your project.
Screen printing
The most commonly used technique for printing on umbrella fabrics is screen printing. Screen printing is high-quality and inexpensive, especially for designs with just a few different colours. It is ideal for printing logos or lettering in one or more colours. If several colours are used, they must be separated from each other. Colour gradients are not possible.
Digital printing
Digital printing on screen fabrics scores highly thanks to its great flexibility. This technique is suitable for photo printing and for designs with many colours and colour gradients. Images that are available as pixel graphics are processed. For example, any phone photo can be printed on a screen. We can print on the entire surface of the umbrella for certain models or just part of the segment.
Doming
Doming is also based on digital printing. This means that any design can be domed in almost any colour. This digital print is then finished with a transparent synthetic resin, which gives it a special 3D effect.
Engraving
During engraving, the top layer of material is removed at certain points to reveal the bottom layer of material. This can be done on some aluminum parts as well as on special plastic plates, where a different colour is revealed in the engraved areas.
Custom-made products
Beyond the standard options, the design possibilities for custom-made products are virtually limitless. However, please note that certain unique requests may require larger quantities and longer delivery times to fulfill.
5- The prices
The total price for a printed umbrella consists of the product price and the printing price. The product prices are usually staggered according to quantity. The print prices depend on the complexity of the print design and the number of prints/advertisements per umbrella.
